Polishing The Black Stone

We exist beyond the temporal realm, in tune with things greater than our ego. Polishing the Black Stone reinforces this through conversations exploring relationships, spirituality, psychedelics, art, culture, and the concept of self. It is a reminder that we are human, it is a reminder that we are all one. With our culture emphasizing that we must feel good, we tend to ignore our primordial issues. This ignorance leads to the metaphoric black stone. Which we wear away through communication and focus.

Brad Stevens is a tattoo artist working at New York Adorned located in Manhattan New York. Brad and Nick Filth discuss how they interact with social media and how they navigate experiencing "trolls". When does a persons opinion interfere with your business and your headspace? Where do you draw the line with negative comments or interactions on social media, and when are they harmful?

Brad and Nick also discuss tattooing in a different light. As it is a means to distract oneself from the unconscious. How existential pressures and anxieties often get swept to the wayside in the pursuit of activities, in Brad’s case, it’s with his tattooing.
